Principal's Message
Dear Pride and School 17 families,
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year. I'm entering into my 22nd year in public education in the state of Arizona and my 16th year as a building principal. I have been in the Litchfield district for the last 16 years and I've worked at Western Sky Middle School, Verrado Elementary School and now I am blessed to work with the LTH/School 17 students and families.
I'm a huge believer that we need to create a family feel in our classrooms and as a school. In doing this, we create safety and connection for our students. Brain research says that when students feel safe and connected in the school environment, then their brain is optimized to problem solve and learn new things. My hope is that you partner with us as we continue the legacy that has been created on this campus and build it even stronger with all of our contributions. Schools cannot do it alone and I look forward to the partnership that we will have with our families.
Communication is extremely important in this busy world that we live in. You can expect weekly communication from your child's teacher (at a minimum) and I will also try to make sure I send out communication every Friday. The better our communication is among adults, the better outcomes we will see for our students. We will be using ParentSquare for a lot of our communication. You can download the app and you will also get updates via email.
If you have any questions at any time, please reach out to us. We want to provide you and your family excellent customer service and build strong relationships.
Sincerely,
Luke Jankee
Principal
